2014 Fall Camp Dates:

Offense/Defense Camp
Sunday, November 23rd: 9am-noon
This one-day clinic is for female players grades 4-12. Girls will be divided by age groups. One half of the clinic will focus on hitting mechanics and other offensive drills.  The other half will feature instruction in both infield and outfield positions (no pitching instruction).  Instruction includes the correct throwing/hitting mechanics, proper fielding techniques, communication, mental preparation, etc.  Participants are taught by Camp Director Shanna Diller and UT players.  Bring glove, bat, cleats, helmet, sliding pants/shorts. Limit 50 campers. $100/camp
 

2015 Winter Camp Dates:  
Saturday, Jan. 17-Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015
  
The winter specialty clinics are designed to allow campers to choose specific sessions they would like to attend to improve their softball skills.

Pitching I
Jan. 17- 9:00-11:30AM Cost: $115.00

This clinic is for players in grades 4-12. The camp focuses upon the beginning stages of pitching and the refinement of the camper’s basic mechanics. Please bring a catcher (catchers do not need to sign up for the pitching clinic). This person could be your teammate, brother, sister or parent. Catchers younger than age 18 must wear a mask. Two pitches are the focus: fastball & change-up. Bring glove, cleats and tennis shoes. Limit of 50 campers.

Pitching II
Jan. 18- 9:00-11:30AM  Cost: $115.00
This clinic is for players in grades 8-12. It is recommended that campers have past experience pitching for a club team or high school team. Four pitches are the focus: drop ball, rise ball, curve ball, and screw ball. Please bring a catcher (catchers do not need to sign up for the pitching clinic). This person could be your teammate, brother, sister or parent. Catchers younger than age 18 must wear a mask. Those who cannot bring a catcher must throw into a screen or net. Bring glove, cleats and tennis shoes. Instructors for this clinic are UT softball coaches, current softball student-athletes, and Cat Osterman. Limit of 50 campers.

Hitting I
Jan. 17- 1:30-3:30PM Cost: $100.00

This clinic for players in grades 4-7 provides the mechanics of hitting the Texas way, specific hitting drills, hitting games and hard work. Please bring your own bat, helmet, batting gloves, cleats, and tennis shoes. Limit of 80 campers.

Hitting II
Jan. 18- 1:30-3:30PM Cost: $100.00
This clinic for players in grades 8-12 provides the mechanics of hitting the Texas way, specific hitting drills, hitting games and hard work. Please bring your own bat, helmet, batting gloves, cleats, and tennis shoes. Limit of 80 campers.

Slapping I
Jan. 17- Noon-1:00PM Cost: $50.00

This session is for players in grades 4-7. It is a one hour clinic that includes specialized instruction of left-handed slapping and bunting and is held prior to Hitting Session I. Any player interested in learning left-handed slapping and bunting is welcome as well as those who want to enhance their skills. Participants are introduced to the mechanics of slapping, bunting, specific slapping drills and slapping games and small question and answer session about game situations follows. Limit of 40 campers.

Slapping II
Jan. 18- Noon-1:00PM Cost: $50.00
This session is for players in grades 8-12. It is a one hour clinic that includes specialized instruction of left-handed slapping and bunting and is held prior to Hitting Session II. Any player interested in learning left-handed slapping and bunting is welcome as well as those who want to enhance their skills. Participants are introduced to the mechanics of slapping, bunting, specific slapping drills and slapping games and small question and answer session about game situations follows. Limit of 40 campers.
 

 

Defense I
Jan. 17- 4:00-6:00PM Cost: $100.00
This session is for players in grades 4-7. The clinic provides specialized instruction in primary defensive positions (1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, C). Please pick ONE position to work on. Participants are grouped by position and taught by the UT players and coaches. There is NO pitching instruction in this clinic. We recommend that pitchers attend the Jan. 19 & 20 clinics and pick a secondary position for the Defense Clinic. Bring glove, cleats, tennis shoes, and catcher’s gear. Grades 5-12. Limit of 80 campers. 

Defense II
Jan. 18- 4:00-6:00PM Cost: $100.00

Little Horns
Jan. 17- 4:00-5:30PM Cost: $50.00
This is a fun-filled clinic to provide the novice softball player with the basic fundamentals of the game. Offensive and defensive skills are taught. Please bring your own glove, cleats, tennis shoes, batting gloves, bats, and helmets if you have them. Grades K-3. No limit of campers.

 
Coaches Clinic
Jan. 18- 9:00AM-6:00PM Cost: $75.00
This clinic is for high school coaches, travel ball coaches and parents.  With the format change this year, coaches will now be able to learn the fundamentals and specific drills for pitching, hitting, left-handed slap hitting and defense by our UT coaches. Those registered will be on the field with our designated coaches to observe and ask questions during the clinic. We will provide lunch. Limit of 50 coaches.
