The One-Day winter specialty clinics are designed to allow campers to choose specific sessions they would like to attend to improve their softball skills. The Texas Softball Coaches and current team will be working this camp.
Our Prospects Clinics on January 27th are for campers in 7th-12th grade. Our Futures Clinics on February 2nd are for 3rd-6th graders. Campers will be divided by their year in school.
Weather pending, all sessions will be held at McCombs Softball Stadium or the Bubble Indoor Football Facility. Hitting will be at McCombs Softball Stadium.
Session 1: Pitching (10:00 a.m.-noon)
Session 2: Catching (12:15-1:15 p.m.)
Session 3: Defense (1:30-3:30 p.m.)
Session 4: Hitting (4:00-6:00 p.m.)
*Lunch Break: 12-1:30 p.m. (Those registered for Pitching or Catching can purchase a boxed lunch. If you’re registered for catching camp you can eat before or after your catching session)
Pitching Cost: $100.00
Pitching camp for Futures focuses on basic mechanics, the fast ball and change up, and possibly other pitches depending on the camper’s level. Pitching camp for Prospects focuses on basic mechanics and advanced pitches. Please bring a catcher (catchers do not need to sign up for the pitching clinic). This person could be your teammate, sibling or parent. Catchers younger than age 18 must wear a mask. Bring glove, cleats and tennis shoes. Limit of 50 campers/session.
Catching Cost: $50.00
The catching clinic was implemented to allow catchers to work on their catching, blocking and throwing techniques and then choose a secondary position at the defense camp. Catchers must bring their own catching gear. Limit 40 campers/session.
Defense Cost: $100.00
The Defense Sessions provide specialized instruction in primary defensive positions. Participants will work on multiple positions and are taught by the UT players and coaches. There is NO pitching or catching instruction in this clinic. (We recommend that pitchers attend the Pitching Session and catchers attend the Catching session). Bring glove, cleats, and tennis shoes. Limit of 60 campers/session.
Hitting Cost: $100.00
The Hitting Session provides the mechanics of hitting and specific hitting drills. Please bring your own bat, helmet, batting gloves, cleats, and tennis shoes. Campers will be divided into groups based on their age. Limit of 60 campers/session.
